ECCCSA wins at the Digital Event Awards
During the pandemic, the European Contact Centre & Customer Service Awards 2020 could not go ahead as a live event. Instead, the winners were announced via a spectacular live and online awards evening.
The delayed 2020 European Contact Centre & Customer Service Awards evening won Gold at the Digital Event Awards for the Best Digital Awards Event in 2021.
“When you consider the number of awards programmes that were delivered virtually, if at all, during that time, we are incredibly proud of this accolade,” said Managing Director, Leigh Hopwood. “We know how important recognition is, and during the pandemic it was critical to retain positivity. And that’s why we did everything we could to make it a night to remember.”
The Judges said : “A really innovative approach to the ‘experience’ and the engagement model was very successful in redefining the value take-away. Great to see the use of multiple digital formats to drive engagement and stickiness to the platform, the use of Cameo in this was great, and the innovative use of the stages to deliver an ‘almost as good’ digital to physical experience seemed to have been really well executed.
Finalists were invited to take a ‘room’ at the virtual awards, where they could meet and chat throughout the evening. The live event was hosted by Sally Gunnell, Olympic Champion and wellbeing enthusiast, with the support of six of the lead judges: Helen Wilson, Rodney Assock, Marcin Sosnowski, Andy Cook, Michael Sherwood and Catherine Oehlers
Intercepting the evening were cameo appearances from F1 Champion Jenson Button, Gloria Gaynor singing ‘I will survive’ for the audience, and David ‘the hoff’ Hasslehoff, which was a real highlight.
Winning this award was testament to the efforts that the team behind the ECCCSA put in to creating a real experience for the finalists, and not just another awards programme. Combine this with the incredibly robust judging process, and you have an award winning awards programme.
We’d like to thank everyone that helped make the 2020 programme possible. These were tough times and you made it possible to bring a ray of light, Thank you!
