About the ECCCSAs

The European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards (ECCCSAs) are the largest and longest running awards in the customer contact industry.

Highly regarded for the integrity and credibility of the judging process, with high calibre judges that are handpicked for their experience and knowledge. These judges can recognise organisations that are leading the way in delivering exceptional service to customers.

These organisations value their people, continually innovate to improve the customer experience, and operate efficiently and effectively. And they could be anywhere in Europe.

It’s easy to take part with an online toolkit, webinar and hotline to help you. Winners get the recognition they deserve by celebrating their achievements at the prestigious awards evening hosted by Fiona Bruce.

History of the ECCCSAs

Originally the European Call Centre Awards established by UBM in 2000, they later merged with the National Customer Service Awards in 2007 to create the European Call Centre and Customer Service Awards held alongside CCExpo at the Hilton Hotel, NEC, Birmingham.

The years that followed saw the awards programme reach its first peak with around 1,250 people celebrating industry success before moving to London, away from its relationship with CCExpo.

In 2013, recognising the shift to multi-channel operations the name changed to the European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards.

After a decline in entries, in 2015 UBM declared that they were no longer hosting the awards and the programme was set to close. However, by 2016 UBM reached an agreement with the CCMA (Call Centre Management Association) to manage the awards programme, which led to a transfer of ownership. Despite having its own UK awards programme, the CCMA recognised the important role the ECCCSAs had in recognising the talent and achievements of the industry and vowed to keep the awards alive.

Without missing a year, the show went on and the awards reopened under new management in 2016 in London. After proving they still had a place in the industry, the awards evening moved to Evolution in Battersea Park, London – the largest venue to ever host the awards – and in 2017 over 1,100 people attended.

Going from strength to strength, the ECCCSAs are highly regarded for the integrity and credibility of the judging process, with high calibre judges that are handpicked for their experience and knowledge. These judges recognise organisations that are leading the way in delivering exceptional service to customers.

Hosted by Fiona Bruce plus a celebrity guest since 2016, the ECCCSAs are now one of the most highly-prized awards in the contact centre and customer service industry.
